Invest In Kids
In 2017, Empower Illinois wrote and then secured passage of the Invest in Kids Act. This historic law – the first of its kind in Illinois – transforms lives by providing up to $100,000,000 for K-12 scholarships to the low income and working class children in Illinois who need them most. Scholarships are funded through private donations to scholarship granting organizations, like Empower Illinois, which administer the application and scholarship granting process
Please consider making a contribution to the St James Catholic School Scholarship fund through Empower Illinois. Individuals that make donations through Empower Illinois will receive a 75% State Income Tax credit. St. James Catholic School has several students that could benefit from these scholarships. Please see the attached flyers for more information. When you are ready to take advantage of this tax credit, follow the steps on the How To Donate document.
